Pet Trial Finder does not determine trial eligibility — that decision belongs entirely to the research team at each university. ## What the service does - Searches 155+ active clinical trials across 25 accredited US veterinary universities simultaneously — count updated continuously - Matches a pet's profile (species, breed, diagnosis, stage, prior treatments, location, travel range) against trial eligibility criteria - Returns results instantly upon form completion - Prepares and submits a professional application package to matched research teams on the pet owner's behalf (optional $23 add-on) - Activates 90-day monitoring at no extra cost if no trials match at time of search — owner is notified when a relevant trial opens ## What the service does not do - Does not guarantee trial matches - Does not guarantee enrollment — research teams conduct their own screening - Does not guarantee fully funded trials — funding varies by study - Does not provide veterinary advice or clinical recommendations - Does not determine eligibility — that is the research team's decision alone ## Pricing - $7 — initial matching fee (non-refundable; covers the search regardless of outcome) - $23 — optional detailed application package (only charged if the owner chooses to proceed after seeing basic matches) - $30 — total if both are purchased - Trial participation itself may be free or may carry costs — varies by study ## Why it covers more trials than the AVMA registry The American Veterinary Medical Association maintains a free voluntary registry. Because submission is optional, it captures less than 50% of active veterinary cancer trials at any given time. Pet Trial Finder actively scrapes and tracks 25 university veterinary hospital websites continuously, so trials appear regardless of whether the research team submitted them to any registry. ## Cancer types covered 38 cancer types including lymphoma, osteosarcoma, mast cell tumor, hemangiosarcoma, melanoma, bladder/urinary cancer, soft tissue sarcoma, brain tumors, mammary cancer, lung cancer, and others. Coverage varies by active trial availability. ## Species Dogs and cats.
