Pet Trial Finder is a platform that connects pet owners with veterinary clinical trials. Our Service includes:

• Trial Matching: Matching pets with appropriate clinical trials based on species, breed, medical conditions, location, and other criteria
• Information Exchange: Facilitating communication between pet owners, veterinarians, and clinical trial researchers
• Application Processing: Managing trial applications and eligibility assessments
• Educational Resources: Providing information about veterinary clinical trials and research
• Database Services: Maintaining a database of active clinical trials and participant information

Important: Pet Trial Finder is a matching service only. We do not conduct clinical trials, provide veterinary care, diagnose conditions, or make medical recommendations. All clinical trial participation is subject to the trial's own eligibility requirements and approval by the trial's researchers and veterinarians.

3. User Responsibilities

3.1 Account Registration

To use our Service, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach
• Ensuring that your information remains accurate and up to date

3.2 Accurate Information

You agree to provide truthful, accurate, and complete information about yourself and your pet(s), including:

• Contact information
• Pet medical history and current health conditions
• Current medications and treatments
• Vaccination records
• Veterinary information

False or misleading information may result in:

• Disqualification from clinical trials
• Potential harm to your pet
• Termination of your account
• Legal liability

3.3 Veterinary Consultation

Before enrolling your pet in any clinical trial, you agree to:

• Consult with your current veterinarian about the trial
• Understand the potential risks and benefits of trial participation
• Review and sign any required consent forms directly with the trial researchers
• Follow all instructions and protocols provided by the trial veterinarians
• Report any adverse events or concerns immediately

3.4 Compliance with Trial Requirements

If your pet is accepted into a clinical trial, you agree to:

• Attend all scheduled appointments and follow-up visits
• Administer medications or treatments as directed
• Report any changes in your pet's condition
• Complete all required documentation and surveys
• Notify the trial team if you wish to withdraw from the trial

4. Fees and Payment

4.1 Service Fees

Pet Trial Finder may charge fees for certain services, including but not limited to:

4.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. By providing payment information, you:

• Authorize us to charge your payment method for applicable fees
• Represent that you are authorized to use the payment method

• Agree to pay all applicable taxes

4.3 Refund Policy

Application Processing Fees:

• Application fees are generally non-refundable once processing has begun
• Refunds may be granted at our discretion in cases of service failure or technical errors
• No refunds are provided if your pet is not matched with a trial or is not accepted into a trial

4.4 Clinical Trial Costs

Important: Our Service fees are separate from any costs associated with clinical trial participation. Clinical trials may provide free treatment and monitoring, or may require participant contributions. All costs related to trial participation are determined by the trial sponsors and researchers, not by Pet Trial Finder.

5. Clinical Trial Participation

5.1 No Guarantee of Acceptance

Pet Trial Finder does not guarantee that:

• Your pet will be matched with any clinical trials
• Your pet will be accepted into a matched trial
• A matched trial will be available in your geographic area
• Trial participation will benefit your pet's health

5.2 Trial Selection Authority

Clinical trial researchers have sole authority to:

• Determine eligibility requirements
• Accept or reject participants
• Remove participants from trials
• Modify trial protocols
• Terminate trials early

5.3 Informed Consent

Before participating in any clinical trial, you will be required to:

• Review the trial's informed consent documents
• Understand the trial's purpose, procedures, risks, and benefits
• Sign consent forms directly with the trial researchers
• Receive approval from your current veterinarian (when applicable)

Pet Trial Finder's role is limited to matching and facilitating communication. We are not party to the consent agreements between you and trial researchers.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Our Content

All content on the Service, including text, graphics, logos, images, software, and design, is the property of Pet Trial Finder or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute our content without permission

• Reverse engineer or decompile any software

6.2 Your Content

You agree NOT to use the Service for any of the following purposes:

• Providing false, misleading, or fraudulent information

• Infringing on intellectual property rights
• Transmitting viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Scraping, crawling, or harvesting data from our Service

• Service interruptions, technical failures, or data loss

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

8.4 Third-Party Services

We are not responsible for the actions, content, or services of third parties, including clinical trial researchers, veterinarians, payment processors, or linked websites.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pet Trial Finder, its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any laws or third-party rights
• Content you submit to the Service
• Your pet's participation in clinical trials
• Disputes with other users or third parties
